The Scottish Tartans Authority is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.

This website has been designed and developed using the Wix platform. We aim to make full use of its accessibility features while ensuring our own content meets recognised accessibility standards.

We aim for our website to conform to:

We are working towards full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance by Q4 2026.

We are actively working to improve these areas.

We are committed to continuous accessibility improvement and are:

  • Reviewing and updating content within the Wix CMS

  • Adding and refining alt text across imagery and archive material

  • Improving colour contrast and typography where possible

  • Testing key user journeys, including membership access and forms

  • Using Wix Accessibility Wizard and monitoring platform updates

  • Exploring periodic external audits to validate accessibility performance
